Kayak chainsaw massacre - how to make 1 -> 3My 3-piece conversion was on hold for a while, but Easter and fair weather inspired me to finish it. A few people asked me to post a clip of the actual cutting - not nearly as traumatic as might be thought. Sorry to disappoint all the train-smash hopefuls. It only took about 10 minutes per end, and half an hour each to fit the new bulkheads. As always, preparation and a well-thought-out plan were the key. Everything worked out fine and I'm now the proud owner of a 3-piece boat. I'll post a short report with pics. of the actual process including fitting the latches etc. when I get a chance. In the meantime, enjoy...
